Players take turns in Doodle Devil to reveal cards and search for combinations. The cards can be combined in a number of different ways so that it is down to players to use their logic to work out which cards go together in the best ways. There are just two cards at the start of the game; human and apple, which helps to set the theme of the fall from grace and descent into hell. There are plenty of quotes, sound effects and animations added to help provide variation, although the overall game play can feel a bit repetitive.
